A moment's beauty

A man has one thing earned-
Freedom to choose a moment,
Of all that he has witnessed.
Freedom to colour a life into
That moment with a definition
Imagined by will of his freedom.

This I know and so I choose-
A moment that was a smile,
A splash of beauty so vibrant
I had stopped to hear its call.
Drowning myself I knew this was once,
So hear, see, feel, take.

A moments beauty, fortunate to see-
Seen, imagined or constructed, it was
As it was, as was just needed.
Taken for mine, with me forever,
Moments as a boy maketh the man,
So hear, see, feel, take.
